What is turkish special passport?

Turkish special passport, also known as the "Green Passport", is a type of passport issued to Turkish citizens who are:

  1. Public servants who travel abroad for official purposes on behalf of the Turkish government, including the President, Prime Minister, Ministers, and senior civil servants.

  2. Members of the Turkish Parliament, judges, prosecutors, academicians, artists, athletes, journalists, and business people who travel abroad for official business or activities related to their profession.

  3. Spouses and unmarried children (under the age of 25) of the above-mentioned categories of people.

The Green Passport is valid for 5 years and is issued free of charge to the eligible individuals. It is recognized by most countries in the world and allows holders to travel without a visa or with visa-free entry to many countries.

However, the Green Passport does not offer the same level of protection and benefits as the regular Turkish passport, such as consular assistance, diplomatic protection, and access to certain international organizations and programs.
